As our world is becoming increasingly complex, we need to remember that no one person can fully understand a complex system. That requires multiple lenses and multiple minds. - Verna Allee

It is becoming increasingly clear that we are facing a very different century. Human development in the 21st century is characterized by the synergy of production, services and information in ways never seen before. This century requires new forms of human work that have very little in common with the structures and working conditions established in the previous century. National and international borders are disappearing, and organizations are continuously required to operate in very diverse environments and markets. Exponentially evolving technology, the Internet, globalization, changing demographics, economic inequality, and rapidly-shrinking natural resources are among the factors that are bringing people from diverse cultures and backgrounds around the "same table" to talk about our collective future.

[Journey of Learning] Due to this profound change in many aspects of social and organizational modi operandi, we are brought together with increasing numbers of people, knowledge, skills, and personalities, and from differing locales. The purpose is to transform our separate expertness and collective insights into wise day-to-day collaborative decisions in the service of a shared objective. Everywhere there is a need for collaboration, teamwork, networks, and negotiation.

The key to surviving and thriving in such an environment is a collaborative lifelong learning process, which is both informational and transformational. While the demand for adult learning is increasing, there is a growing awareness that such learning is a joint responsibility of many parties involved: organizations, educational institutions, governments, unions, civil societies, and individuals. The emerging theme is that lifelong learning is everybody's business.

My work focuses on creating and nurturing these lifelong learning environments and facilitating the processes for individual, team, or organizational learning. My passion and core expertise are in the areas of

  • Creating Structures and Programs for Organizational Learning
  • Facilitating Leadership Development
  • Facilitating Intercultural Training and Development
  • Fostering and Nurturing Team and Organizational Collaboration
  • Enhancing Individual and Team Creativity
  • Designing and Building Sustainable Organizations

[Journey of Learning]My network of collaborators includes numerous professionals, all experts in their fields. We create and deliver customized learning experiences that address the needs of our clients using our collective experience, talents, and gifts.

While I am based in the beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, my work encompasses all geographical areas and crosses all borders. Using a diverse combination of face-to-face and distance learning approaches, I work with clients around the world; recent examples include Canada, USA, Australia, Russia, The Netherlands, France, Israel, and Costa Rica.
